Francoise Hawkridge

Acupuncture and Zero-Balancing

Lic.Ac, MBAcC, Cert ZB

Born and educated in France, the mother of two, Francoise began studying Acupuncture in 1988 after experiencing acupuncture for herself. Francoise says “….from then on, I never looked back for it became clear to me that health is not merely the absence of disease and necessitates attention to many aspects of our life. Acupuncture addresses all of those…”

Francoise graduated in 1991 from the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington, where she trained with Professor JR Worsley and then joined the centre in 1992 (when it was originally ‘The Cambridge Traditional Acupuncture Centre’).

Francoise also became interested in Zero Balancing and studied with some key teachers including its founder Fritz Smith. Francoise graduated as a practitioner in 1998. Francoise says “…even though acupuncture and Zero Balancing are individual therapies in their own right, they complement each other very well and I often use both to further enhance a harmonious state, creating a deeper sense of wellbeing….”

In 2005, Francoise obtained a diploma in sports massage with The Active Foundation and continues postgraduate training by attending regular seminars.

Francoise has practiced yoga and meditation for over 10 years
