The room will have soft lighting, candles and soothing music, creating the perfect space for you to unwind and switch off from whatever is happening in your life.

The 1-hour full body massage will be tailored to your needs. Pressure can range from gentle to firm and it will normally follow this sequence: back, shoulders, back of legs, neck and shoulders, arms, hands, stomach, front of legs, feet. Techniqueswill include stroking in smooth movements, kneading to loosen muscles, rubbing or friction with hands moving back and forth in opposite directions, and striking (tapping or chopping the body with fingers or hands). Alongside helping the body to relax, these techniques will support the body to heal itself by manipulating and stimulating the circulatory and lymphatic systems.

It is not uncommon to fall asleep during the treatment and, by the end, you will feel a profound release of tension, leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and recharged.

Aftercare advice:

  • Rest and relax to help the body heal itself.
  • Drink plenty of water or herbal teas to help with the elimination of the toxins from the body.
  • Do not shower or have a bath for the rest of the day to give the oils time to penetrate the skin and the bloodstream for therapeutic effect.
  • Avoid tea, coffee and caffeine drinks as caffeine is a stimulant to the body and will not help you to relax.
  • Do not sunbathe or use sunbeds for 24 hours – if phototoxic oils have been used this may cause the skin to burn.
  • Eat a light and healthy diet to allow your body to put its energy into healing
  • Avoid alcohol/smoking for 24 hours to eliminate more toxins being reintroduced into the body.
